Another Star Trek Death
Yet another Star Trek actor has passed away. Brock Peters played Admiral Cartwright in Star Trek IV & VI as well as Captain Sisko's father in several Deep Space Nine episodes. He had been fighting pancreatic cancer and ultimately succumbed. One thing you may not have known, I sure didn't, was that he sang backup vocals on the song Banana Boat (Day-O) by Harry Belafonte, a testament to his beautiful and distinctive bass voice. He also played Tom Robinson in the original To Kill A Mockingbird with Gregory Peck.
I've been re-watching my Deep Space Nine episodes lately (by coincidence), so this comes as shocking and sad news to me. Especially because I've been watching the seasons that feature him more often. He's yet another brilliant actor who will be sorely missed!

Bummer! I never saw Deep Space Nine, but I did see the movies. He was a very good actor!
